Donald Trump vs Kotak Mahindra Bank

The Kotak Mahindra Bank entered the credit card industry. The bank introduced many credit cards, including the Kotak Trump Card. Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States, was quite upset by this information.

In 2010, Donald Trump filed a petition in the Delhi High Court accusing Kotak Mahindra Bank of violating his trademarks. In response, Donald Trump also sought a hefty amount of compensation.

The Trump credit card should no longer be issued, requested Trump's attorney, who also asserted "statutory & equitable rights over trademark Trump."

The lawsuit went on for three years because none of them wanted to give up. Both groups were urged by the high court to settle the dispute outside of court.

Finally, both parties reached a deal in October 2013. The Trump Card was rebranded by Kotak Mahindra Bank, which also introduced a new brand.
