Mithali Raj - Tendulkar of Indian women's cricket

Mithali Raj made her debut for Indian Women's cricket team in the year 1999 when she was only 16 year old. She scored an unbeaten 114 in that match against Ireland and became the youngest female player to make a century.
Interestingly, at the time she didn't realized then that the game would count as her debut and the team thought they were playing an unofficial game!

In 2002, playing in her 3rd test and 1st against England, Mithali played a outstanding knock of 214, breaking Karen Roton's record for the highest individual score in Test Cricket
Nicknamed as the "Tendulkar of Indian Women's cricket", Raj was honored with the Arjuna Award in the year 2003.

In 2004, Mithali became the captain of Indian women's cricket team and lead them to the World Cup final in 2005 against New Zealand. She made her T20I debut in 2006 and has represented India in 89 matches scoring 2,364 runs at an average of 37.52, including 17 half-centuries.

In 2008, she lead India to its 4th successive Asia Cup win.
In 2013, on a ground in Cuttack where no team in the ICC World Cup had chased more than 105, her 100 dominated the chase of a tricky 193, sealing a 6-wicket win against Pakistan,

During the ODI World Cup in 2017, Mithali Raj surpassed formed England captain Charlotte Edwards to become the highest run-scorer in ODIs and the 1st woman to 6000 runs in the format. In 2019, she became the 1st woman to complete two decades in international cricket.

And finally in 2021, she became India's 1st woman cricketer and 2nd internationally to complete 10,000 runs across all formats. She achieved this magnificent landmark during the 3rd match of the bilateral series against South Africa when she was playing her 212th ODI match.
